Safe and Healthy at Cedar Mountain Farm.

    Our great team of housekeepers has stepped up the sanitizing of all frequently touched surfaces. Sanitizer is available for guest use as well. We are switching from homemade cleaners to a commercial product registered for killing the Corona virus. All bedding will either be washed or heat treated between guests. Decorative pillows and stuffies are packed away and we will open windows often and increase air flow through the houses to cut down on the number of virus particles present (for instance, in the event that an asymptomatic guest were staying here). This may make for a little less comfort, but our air conditioning should still work. Window fans will be available, and we encourage you to freshen your room with outside air.

    Al has made moveable mini-barns in the pastures for you to interact with the animals. (In farm lingo, chicken tractors.) We will sanitize the touch areas frequently. There are no known problems with petting and hugging farm animals and spreading Covid-19. The pens will provide for social distancing from other families recreating here.

    Breakfast in the Farmhouse will be served cafeteria style. You will instruct the server as to what you wish to have on your plate. Then you may eat inside or out. We have traded our one long table for three smaller ones, one for each room in the Farmhouse. Condiments will be in single service packets. The Toast Tent goodies will be wrapped, and a server will be present there as well. The time slot for breakfast may be more restrictive than in the past due to needing to have servers present.

    Since the gathering of people together in enclosed spaces seems to promote the spread of the virus, we ask that you stay outside as much as possible to converse. 

    If you are sick, think you have symptoms, or have been around someone with symptoms, please cancel and stay home. Although we usually take your money a couple of days before your stay, we will happily refund, rebook, or give you a gift certificate if you can’t come because of illness or need to quarantine.
